The Road Fund was established by Legal Notice No. 179 of 1995, with the primary objective of providing a mechanism for progressive transformation of the road sector, whereby the fiscal burden for maintenance of roads is gradually being shifted from the Government to users of public roads. Overall management of the Fund rests with the Road Fund Board, which was established by Legal Notice No. 16 of 1996 whilst the day to day operations of the Fund are entrusted to the Secretariat.
The Road Fund Board requires the services of a suitably qualified Lesotho National to fill the position of Internal Auditor.
Job Purpose
To carry out an independent appraisal of the effectiveness of the policies, procedures and standards by which the Road Fund’s financial, physical and information resources are managed; and to act as facilitator in business risk management and carrying out value for money reviews.
Qualifications, Working Experience, and Knowledge:
- A professional Internal Auditor from a recognized Internal Audit Institution with five (5) years’ working experience, who is also an affiliate of either the CA (Chartered Accountant of Lesotho Institute of Accountants); ACCA (Certified Chartered Accountant); CIPFA (Public Finance Accountant); IIA (Institute of Internal Auditors); or other recognized Accounting professional body.
- A risk management qualification or experience would be an added advantage.
Remuneration
Salary will be in accordance with the Road Fund scales of remuneration, which are competitive and market related.
