1. Background
The Government of Lesotho has received credit from the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank to implement the Lesotho Competitiveness and Financial Inclusion (CAFI) Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Business Development, through the CAFI Project Management Unit (PMU), now invites interested individuals to express interest in the assignment of Internal Auditor.
2. Qualification and Experience Requirements
Interested individuals must demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:
- A relevant degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA) is highly desirable
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in donor-funded projects
- Strong knowledge of financial management practices, internal control frameworks, and risk assessment methodologies
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
