Apply to be an intern at the Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature
The Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature is seeking volunteers!
Based out of Quito, Ecuador, The Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature (GARN) is a worldwide network of leading organizations and individuals committed to the universal adoption and implementation of the Rights of Nature that is, the legal guarantee of the right of every ecosystem and organism to exist, flourish, and regenerate its natural cycles. GARN seeks to contribute to the growth and unity of the Rights of Nature movement by advocating for laws and policies that incorporate this new form of jurisprudence at every level. A central node of the movement, GARN coordinates and creates alliances between different NGOs, communities, and indigenous groups; hosts symposia and produces educational materials to spread awareness and teach the general public about Rights of Nature; and provides training and expertise to activists and legal professionals attempting to implement the Rights of Nature in courts and cases around the world.
Join the fight for the Rights of Nature by doing your internship at GARN, where you will be at the center of one of the most innovative movements pushing for social and environmental change today!
Whatever your background, whether you are a law practitioner, an activist, a student/academic, an organizer in your community, or are simply interested in becoming more deeply involved with the Rights of Nature movement, volunteering at GARN is an excellent place from which to begin to defend nature.
Internships can be anywhere between 2 and 6 months long, and can be done from anywhere in the world. If you are interested in in-person internships, you will have to cover your own living expenses during the entire internship period.
