We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Underwriter to join our team. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for assessing risk, determining coverage terms, negotiating premiums, and collaborating with insurance houses to ensure our clients receive the best possible insurance solutions.
๐๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐๐:
โข Soliciting and signing up new clients, cross selling to existing clients and winning accounts against competitors.
โข Establish good working relationships with all insurance houses, negotiate policy terms and costs with insurance houses, and arrange insurance cover for clients with the insurance houses.
โข Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
โข Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and policy details.
โข Stay up to date on industry trends and regulatory changes.
Skills:
โข Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
โข Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interpret abstract information.
โขMust be a self-starter.
โข Knowledge of short-term insurance products and practices.
โข Must have good negotiation skills.
โข Must be reliable and dependable.
โข Excellent time management.
โข Excellent interpersonal skills.
โข Must maintain utmost confidentiality.
โข Must be a good team player.
Qualifications and Experience:
โข Bachelor`s degree in finance, business, economics or related field.
โข Relevant industry certification is essential
โข Driverโs license (Manual) with 2 years of regular driving experience.
โข Experience working with brokers for at least three (3) years.
โข Proven experience in commercial and personal underwriting, minimum three (3) years.
