Letšeng seeks to engage a Mosotho professional with appropriate skills and aptitude to fill the position of:
INSTRUMENTATION ASSISTANT (PATTERSON BU BAND)
PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to assist Instrumentation Technician to maintain Control & Instrumentation equipment according to technical requirements.
MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with device programming, configuration and calibration of equipment according to specified parameters.
- Conduct inspections of instrumentation equipment and report identified defects in line with organisational standards.
- Assist in monitoring the availability of instrumentation spares, particularly critical spares, to ensure required stock levels are maintained.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems in accordance with engineering and quality standards.
- Assist with the investigation of equipment performance, instrumentation breakdowns and downtime to identify causes and prevent recurrence.
- Assist in collecting system and equipment data for analysis to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Assist in maintaining instrumentation records and ensure they are kept up to date.
- Perform ad hoc tasks to support the achievement of engineering KPIs and production performance.
- Ensure that maintenance-related information is accurately recorded and reported to the Planning Office to support the asset management system.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Trade Test in Instrumentation will be an added advantage.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- 3 years’ experience in diamond processing plant.
- Basic knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
- Radiation Protection training will be added advantage.
