Pinotage Youth Development Academy (PYDA) is determined to intensify its objective of creating meaningful economic opportunities for young South Africans. To do so we have created this role to focus on our current Innovation activities and further invest into this space. The ideal candidate for this senior role is a South African with a heart for development and the NGO sector, who brings energy, the right blend of knowledge and experience, is adaptable and has a commitment to continuous learning and change.
Key is for you to be a self-starter who is ready to accelerate the current Innovation activities as well as generate and develop new ones. Be willing to look for the “what more…” and be the advocate for this space.
Your core outputs include researching and analysing your portfolio and related environment, management of the portfolio, project and business development, creating and maintaining strong partnership and stakeholder relationships.
This role is for you if you have a track record of 5-10 years’ experience in delivery of projects/ programmes or business solutions with a relevant tertiary qualification (essential). You need to be a strong project and change manager, work independently and be able to advocate for all things Innovation. Exposure to, or experience in, Innovation work will be an advantage.
To be successful you have an ability to enable, lead, have an enterprising mindset, pay attention to detail together with being astute, resilient and highly persuasive.

The successful candidate will be expected to work in the busy open plan Stellenbosch office as well as remotely and at other sites. A driver’s licence and own vehicle is essential.
PYDA salary packages are competitive within the NGO environment in Western Cape region. The Academy believes in lifelong learning and continuous personal development for all staff.
