Applications are invited from suitably qualified local candidates for the following position:
JOB TITLE: Infrastructure Support Manager
GRADE: I
NO. OF POSITIONS: 1
DEPARTMENT: ICT
RESPONSIBLE TO: ICT Director
Job Purpose
To provide technical guidance/expertise on all matters of infrastructure and networks within the organization.
Key Functions
- Guiding the functions of ICT services and End User support.
- Guiding the development of ICT security policies and overseeing the implementation of efforts aimed at keeping ICT security up to standard.
- Preparing and overseeing service level agreements with contractors.
- Monitoring the growth of LANs and WANs within Ministry departments for wider ICT linkages.
- Generating both periodic and ad hoc reports on ICT services.
- Formulating and reviewing information technology standards and specifications of hardware and software.
- Identifying areas of ICT development and offering advice accordingly.
- Conducting and organizing staff development training to ensure optimum use of the available ICT infrastructure.
- Supervising and appraising staff.
Qualifications
- Must have a Master’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science from a recognized institution.
- Must have certification in Cisco, Microsoft Admin, or Linux.
- The incumbent must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience, 2 of which must have been served at ICT Infrastructure Support Administrator level in Lesotho Government or equivalent level of experience in a reputable organization.
OR
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science from a recognized institution.
- Must have certification in Cisco, Microsoft Admin, or Linux.
- The incumbent must have a minimum of 6 years’ experience, 2 of which must have been served at ICT Infrastructure Support Administrator level in Lesotho Government or equivalent level of experience in a reputable organization.
