We are looking for a detail-oriented IT Manager. Working together with a team, you will be responsible for providing virtual and on-site support for workplace devices, PBX, software, IT systems, and processes for end-users. Our solutions utilize complex technologies and the associated issues require deep technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving skills. Therefore, as IT Manager you will take full responsibility for the timely resolution of the technical issues that impact our support operations delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and maintaining a world class IT infrastructure in our headquarters and all existing and new Africa markets.
  • Take ownership of speeding up technical integrations and solving operational issues that impact support operations delivery across Africa.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for new market growth and create contingency plans/ backup models to support downtime.
  • Develop and implement remote access functionality to ensure data integrity and protection.
  • Develop an environment of thorough planning, testing, documentation, and problem analysis in every product used by the Support Operations team.
  • Minimize time to resolution by creating useful content and updating existing knowledge base articles using the Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) methodology.
  • Work with local technical support partners to maintain IT devices, networks, servers, and VoIP phone systems at optimal performance.
  • Conduct periodic audits, testing, and remediation in accordance with IT, PCI, and internal policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure our local technical support partners are delivering at the agreed SLA levels.
  • Partner with other betPawa employees and teams (product, compliance, engineering, etc.), to ensure that all technical and operational challenges and other issues/cases/requests are handled properly according to agreed SLAs.
  • Be the point of contact for breakdowns that affect our operations or need escalation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of networks, including servers, firewalls, switches, routers, TCP/IP, VoIP, and Ethernet.
  • Technical support experience in a B2B environment
  • Experience with telecommunications installation, maintenance, and support (PBX, VOIP, SIP, E1, Routing).
  • Experience with SMS technologies (SMPP, Unicode)
  • Good general understanding of APIs logic (REST, grpc, WEB API)
  • Previous experience supporting operations in a call center environment is beneficial
  • Excellent communication in English is required. Knowledge of French is an advantage.
