KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lecturing, Instructing, Facilitating and 1-on-1 student support for IT and Information Systems students

Marking of assessments

Preparation of notes and additional study materials

To assist in the administration of Campus affairs and activities as required by the Academic Manager

Assistance with the preparation, co-ordination and attendance at functions, events and activities (open/career days).

Required competencies:
Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment

Excellent communication skills- assertive and approachable to students

Professional knowledge in their area of expertise

Quality Orientation including attention to detail and deadline-awareness

Innovative; ability to solve problems alone and within the team

All applicants must display a high level of computer literacy

Relevant lecturing, instructing, teaching or tutoring experience

Experience in a higher education environment will be beneficial

Necessary knowledge of higher education practices and processes

Relevant IT and development experience will be beneficial.

**Qualifications**

+ BSc Information Technology or Equivalent

+ Honours degree will be beneficial

+ Proficiency in Databases, Java and/or C#

+ Java knowledge is imperative.
