PURPOSE OF POSITION:To support the development of accurate, high quality and timely programme reports to donors and partners, beneficiary and impact stories as well as day to day documentation of JAM’s work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain the annual reporting calendar to ensure timely submission of all donor and programme reports.

Conduct first line review of all programmes and donor reports submitted to HQ by different country offices to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance to reporting requirements.

Review stories submitted by the field; rewrite the areas of text as needed to promote clarity and ensure that the language is impactful, concise and appealing to the intended audience.

Collate and compile qualitative and quantitative data for use in donor reports and updates, quarterly and annual reports, and any ad hoc donor request for information.

Reviews project scopes and donor matrixes submitted by field offices to ensure accuracy and alignment with donor requirements.

Compile and edit sectoral paperwork, publishing case studies/good practices and learning papers.

Keep abreast of all programme implementation in each country in order to draft appropriate reports, briefing and background notes, and other documentation as requested by donors and affiliate country offices.

Compile JAM International’s Annual report.

Coordinate weekly and monthly report outputs, feedback and follow up on gaps.

Support the day to day running of JAM programme management information system and work closely with M&E staff to consolidate and analyze data on programme implementation and indicators in order to facilitate the preparation of periodic reports as required to ensure accurate and effective data presentation in reports.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The following knowledge, skills and abilities may be acquired through formal schooling, self- education, prior experience, on the job training or combination of above:

A university degree, in relevant subject areas such as social sciences, development studies, statistics or a related discipline.

A minimum of six (6) years of demonstrated experience in related work in reporting on program implementation, monitoring and results.

Extensive hands on experience and knowledge in handling qualitative and quantitative data for use in donor reporting.

Previous experience in programme/project design and implementation, monitoring and evaluation is desirable.

Knowledge of Sales Force, MS Access, SPSS or similar database management/statistical software package is required;

Extensive experience working with INGOs, including field work is preferred.

Experience in the sectors of Education, WASH, Nutrition and Agriculture would be an added advantage.

Demonstrated competence and skills in report writing in English is required.

Knowledge of Portuguese would be an added advantage.
