Independent Sales Consultants
Organisation: Metropolitan Lesotho
Metropolitan Lesotho, a wholly owned subsidiary of Momentum Metropolitan Group, is seeking highly driven and self-motivated Independent Sales Consultants to operate as independent contractors in a commission-based role across all districts of Lesotho.
The successful candidates will report directly to the Sales Manager.
Purpose of the Role
The Independent Sales Consultant will be responsible for attracting, acquiring, and retaining clients by selling the company’s products, generating new business, and providing after-sales service to ensure client retention, increase market share, and contribute to the organisation’s long-term business objectives.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Engage prospective clients and explain the features and benefits of products based on their financial wellness needs.
- Sell products that align with clients’ financial needs by conducting affordability analyses.
- Achieve production, quality, and conversion targets.
- Ensure compliance with legislative and company requirements throughout the sales process.
- Provide professional financial advice to enhance clients’ financial wellness.
- Investigate and resolve client queries within agreed service levels.
- Escalate complex client queries to the relevant departments when necessary.
- Provide accurate information and advice to clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare regular reports on service delivery against agreed service level agreements and customer targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders.
- Recommend improvements to client service and ensure fair treatment of clients.
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration, feedback, and exceptional customer service.
- Proactively build and maintain client relationships by promoting Metropolitan’s innovative financial products through professional financial advisory services.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in a business-related qualification.
OR
- Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance or an equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
Applicants must also have:
- At least two (2) years’ field sales experience in the long-term insurance industry, with proven sales success.
