Job Title: Improvement Officer/Fundraiser
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a position of Improvement Officer/Fundraiser at Maluti Adentist Hospital. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying sources of additional funding for hospital needs, cultivate donors and request contributions as well as follow up with donors regarding benefits resulting from donations.
Key Responsibilities will include:
– ldentify sources offunding and current requests for proposals (RFP).
– Prioritize sources of funds most closely aligned with hospital needs.
– Write effective grant proposals, following guidelines and criteria serupulously.
– When funds are awarded, be responsible for making complete and timely follow up reports as
required by founders.
– Maintains list of donors to the hospital and previous funders. Keep in regular contact with those
donors and funders to make them aware of how their funds have benefited patients and staff.
– Encourage their regular support by donors.
– Meet expatriate volunteers and staff and keep in touch after they return home. Encourage
continuing support.
– Seek mentorship of successful development officers in other organizations to learn best practices.
PERSONAL QUALITIES TO INCLUDE:
– Great interpersonal skills, competency in finding donors, commitment to cause, resilience, integrity
creative thinking, expertise in building strong relationships with donors and adaptability.
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:
– Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management or equivalent
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Social media skills
– Proficiency in computer applications
SALARY
Salary: Performance-based
