Imports Co-ordinator – Supply Chain at Daymon

Position Summary:

  • This is a key position that directly supports the Imports Business Manager working closely with the Imports Demand Planners as well as the Retail Team.
  • The key focal point of this function is to build PnP’s Imports Program initiatives by establishing and maintaining a link between Imports Business Management; Imports Supply Chain and the Retail Team.

Duties, Responsibilities and Expected Contributions:

  • Imports Supply Chain
  • Check FOB costs on the system as required by the Imports Supply Chain Manager
  • Accurately collate and capture allocations as prepared by the Imports Demand Planners
  • Monitor and maintain DC Outbound strike rate on all allocations captured
  • Manage and maintain DC / STORE article indicators vs. stock availability and action accordingly
  • Report and highlight concerns, anomalies and actions on all Daymon store’s article indicators vs. stock availability to the Imports Supply Chain Team; Buyers and Business Managers
  • Plan and Manage Inter DC process based on forecast and days cover as well as Inbound Strike rates per Inter DC transfer
  • Monitor and manage SLED markdowns in store

General:

  • Assist the Imports Supply Chain Business Manager with day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, customers, principals and colleagues
  • Be engaged, proactive and positive even in tough circumstances
  • Full accountability for success and failures
  • Be proactive to resolve work issues or notify Imports Business Manager of resources needed
  • Coordinate tasks with other employees and be a team player

Requirements:

Experience:

  • Computer skills
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, preferably FMCG/ Supply chain
  • Grade 12 essential

Functional Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of Excel; Word and Email
  • PowerPoint knowledge will be advantageous
  • SAP experience will be advantageous
