Letter of Invitation for Prequalification (IFP)
Construction of the New Tebellong Bridge Across the Senqu River at Thabana-Ts’oana (White-Hill), Qacha’s Nek
Addendum No. 1 – Postponement Due to Snow on Site
The Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho, through the Roads Directorate, intends to construct a new bridge and road across the Senqu River between White Hill and Tebellong. Suitably qualified locally registered Category A Civil Engineering Construction Companies and international contractors are invited to submit prequalification proposals.
Scope of Work
• Construction of an 8-span bridge with main spans of 32 m and 35 m above riverbed level
• 6.8 km of surfaced approach roads
• Retaining walls
The contract is expected to be awarded in November 2025, with a completion period of 24 months.
Eligibility and Fees
• International companies not categorized by the Roads Directorate must pay a non-refundable registration fee of M20,000.00 to be eligible to bid
• Prequalification documents are available for purchase at a non-refundable fee of M5,000.00

Site Inspection
A compulsory site inspection will be held on Friday, 04 July 2025 at 13:00 hrs

• Attendance is at the bidder’s own risk and cost

Prequalification documents will be available from 24 June 2025
Submission Requirements
• Valid Tax Clearance Certificate (certified at source)
• Valid Trader’s License (certified at source)
Submission Deadline
• Prequalification documents must be submitted by 12:00 hrs on Thursday, 31 July 2025
• Late submissions, faxed, emailed, or mailed evidence will not be accepted
• The Roads Directorate is not obligated to prequalify all or any applicants
