ICT Technician

The Road Fund was established by Legal Notice No. 179 of 1995, and regulated under the Finance (Road Fund) Regulations 2012, with the primary objective of providing a mechanism for progressive transformation of the road sector, whereby the fiscal burden for maintenance of roads is gradually being shifted from the Government to users of public roads. Overall management of the Fund rests with the Road Fund Board, which was established by Legal Notice No. 16 of 1996 whilst the day to day operations of the Fund are entrusted to the Secretariat.

The Road Fund Board requires the services of a suitably qualified Lesotho National to fill the position of ICT Technician.

Job Purpose

To provide Information and Communications Technology (IT) Technical support services to the Road Fund Secretariat. The incumbent will ensure that all Systems Faults/Incidents are correctly prioritized for resolution in order to minimize downtime and meet the service level agreement (SLA). This shall include appropriate escalation of issues through the Systems and Database Administrator as may be necessary.

Qualifications, Working Experience and Knowledge: 

  • Diploma in Information Technology / Systems or related field, with at least two (2) years’ experience in any of the following Areas: IT Support Infrastructure; Systems Administration; Applications Support; Database Administration; Systems Analysis; Electronics.
  • Experience in Electronics will be an added advantage
  • The successful candidate must be a holder of a valid driver’s license with at least two (2) years’ driving experience and be willing to travel to the districts as required.

Remuneration

Salary will be in accordance with the Road Fund scales of remuneration, which are competitive and market related.
