Introduction
The school has a roll of about 348 students in the Primary Section (Reception – Grade 6) and 273 students in the Secondary Section (S1 – S4). The students come from varying socio-economic and multicultural backgrounds. The successful candidate will be required to teach the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) Computer Science (CS) & Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the NULIS Secondary Section and will be expected to participate fully in extracurricular activities.
Description: Secondary Teacher (Computer Science (CS) & Information and Communication Technology (ICT))
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Graduate teacher (BSc. Ed and/or BSc + PGDE or equivalent) with majors in Computer Science (CS) OR Computer Systems (CS) and Information & Communication Technology (ICT).
- A minimum of two (2) years teaching experience at Secondary/High school level is a prerequisite.
- Experience at International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), a relevant post-graduate degree and ability to teach Physics will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To teach the IGCSE Computer Science (CS) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the NULIS Secondary Section (S1 – S4).
- To conduct at least two extra-curricular activities and one club offered by the school.
- To participate fully in all school activities and functions.
- To further teach the Advanced Subsidiary (AS) computer and/or
Physics When the school launches this program.
Remuneration:
The University offers salaries and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Employment type
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms for Locals, and Two Years Contract for Non-Locals with a possibility of renewal.
