The Lesotho Network of People Living with HIV and AIDS (LENEPWHA), a network of community-based groups led by people living with HIV, is dedicated to HIV prevention, advocacy, and service delivery. Under the EpiC Project in partnership with FHI 360, LENEPWHA seeks to accelerate HIV epidemic control, optimize HIV testing, support treatment continuity, and strengthen TB screening and linkage to care.


JOB TITLE: Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Officer

Position Overview

Are you a skilled professional with expertise in information technology and communications? We are seeking a proactive, service-oriented Communications and IT Officer to support the smooth running of our ICT infrastructure and lead our internal and external communications.

Key Responsibilities

IT Support & Systems Administration

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Set up, monitor, and maintain the organization’s IT systems and networks (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).
  • Provide efficient technical support to staff and clients face-to-face and remotely for system setup, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
  • Prioritize, track, and resolve multiple open support cases using a helpdesk/ticketing system.
  • Provide support across Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance, electrical, and safety checks on IT equipment.
  • Develop, update, and maintain documentation on IT infrastructure, network layouts, and software/hardware inventory.
  • Ensure data security, perform regular backups, and maintain compliance with ICT policies.
  • Assist with procurement of IT equipment, software licensing, and vendor management.
  • Support audiovisual equipment for presentations, webinars, and virtual meetings.
  • Contribute to business continuity and disaster-recovery planning.

Communications & Knowledge Management

  • Develop and implement a communications plan to promote the organization’s programs and activities.
  • Manage the organization’s website, intranet, and social-media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
  • Design and produce newsletters, fact sheets, press releases, and other promotional materials in line with branding guidelines.
  • Support staff in creating presentations, reports, and success stories for donors, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate media engagements and act as a liaison with journalists and communications partners.
  • Provide training to staff on effective use of digital tools, branding, and messaging.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Cybersecurity and/or communications certifications are highly desirable.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in IT support or systems administration, plus experience in corporate, NGO, or media communications.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Office 365, and collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Proficiency in graphic design or publishing tools.
  • Understanding of social-media analytics, email marketing platforms, and basic photography/videography.
  • Experience supporting hardware (laptops, printers, projectors, UPS), networking devices, and VOIP systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
  • Valid Code B driver’s license is strongly recommended.
