PARAY SCHOOL OF NURSING
Position: HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
Term: 2 years renewable based on availability of funds.
Reporting to: Principal Nurse Educator
Key Responsibilities :
• To develop/ review leave policy, guidelines, and tools.
• Oversee all Human Resources (HR) functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management and compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement HR policies, procedures of recruitment, housing, remuneration, benefits, and initiatives that align with the School vision and mission.
• Advice on vacancies as aligned to the strategic plan.
• Receive requests for vacancies / positions.
• Facilitates and coordinates recruitment process.
• Knowledge of labour laws, regulations, and industries best practices.
• Coordinate employee related activities including grievance and disciplinary issues.
• Ensure compliance with staffing and related standards including statutory related matters as guided by the Council on Higher Education (CHE), Lesotho Nursing Council (LNC) among others.
• Provide professional HR support to the Management.
• To coordinate the Performance Management System for Paray School of Nursing.
• Support the development and delivery of HR training programs to enhance staff development and engagement.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and provide regular updates to leadership on project and HR related matters.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in HR software and tools will be an added advantage.
• Coordinate project activities, monitor progress and ensure timely completion of tasks within the project Management Office.
• Oversee the day-to-day function of the Bed and Breakfast facility and Tuck- shop.
• Supervision of staff at the Bed and Breakfast facility and Tuck-shop
Qualifications and Experience :
• Degree/Diploma in Human Resources Management, Management Sciences, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Proven experience in Human Resources roles, including recruitment, employee relations and policy.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
