JOB TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
REPORTS TO: HEAD FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION
Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Human Resources function within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and practices that align with the organization›s goals and ensure a positive and productive work environment.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies that support the organization’s objectives.
- Oversee the formulation and revision of HR policies and ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
Recruitment and Talent Management:
- Lead the recruitment process, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, and onboarding of new employees.
- Evaluate and enhance recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
Employee Relations:
- Advise management on employee relations issues and promote effective communication throughout the organization.
- Foster a cooperative and harmonious work environment that addresses employee concerns and grievances to resolve conflict or issues.
Performance Management:
- Implement performance management systems that support employee development and organizational goals.
- Analyse performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance productivity.
Legal Compliance
- Ensure that LTDC complies with labour laws and regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Update LTDC policies to reflect changes in legal requirements and align with company goals and values.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Oversee the design and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure equitable pay structures and performance-based reward systems are maintained.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Promote continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, and training sessions.
HR Information Systems:
- Maintain and enhance a computerized Human Resource Information System (HRIS) for accurate employee data management.
- Ensure effective payroll and leave management processes are in place.
Budget Management:
- Assist in the development and management of the HR departmental budget and business plan.
- Monitor HR expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
Reporting:
- Produce accurate and timely reports on HR metrics, including workforce analytics and departmental performance.
Education and Qualifications
- A Degree in Human Resource Management.
A Post-Graduate in Human Resources or a related field will be an added advantage. - A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in Human Resources management, with a focus on strategic HR practices and
proven experience in HR Management. - In-depth knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
