Overview
Econo Foods Lesotho is a local company, with branches in Maseru and Maputsoe, operating in the retail services sector. In particular, the company specializes in sales of red meat, fish, chicken, processed meats, dairy products, spices, and herbs.
General Job Purpose
To manage the human resources function of the company and provide a strategic and advisory role to the management in developing the
company’s workforce, promoting the organisation culture and values, and developing HRM strategies in line with the corporate strategy
and plans
Main duties and Responsibilities
Research, develop, and implement such HR policies and organizational strategies that boost and improve the work environment for Econo Foods employees
- Ensure the company’s compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Research, develop, and implement employee benefits and compensation plans
- Report on HR metrics to produce insights that will inform and guide the management decision-making process
- Set the function’s strategy and working plan including budgets
- Liaise with other parties harmoniously; unions, consultants, training institutions, etc
- Look after talent acquisition and retention
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3-5years at a management and similar role
- Bachelors degree in human resource management
