It’s an exciting time to join Verra! Our global organization is expanding. In response, we are building a high-performance HR Team and need a Human Resources HRIS and Data Specialist to enter, maintain, audit, analyze and report on HR related data. In addition, the HR HRIS and Data Specialist is responsible for maximizing technological capabilities to reduce manual processes and provide employees with up-to-date HR content via our internal, employee facing site. The ideal candidate will have global HR and legal experience within a dedicated HR role, exceptional communication skills and have demonstrated past success with creating/maintaining employee facing dashboards. This role will advise on technical and legal aspects of records retention and compliance and aid with research and special HR projects as needed. 

A day with Verra’s collaborative Human Resources Team might include…

  • Initiating and confirming employee new hire documentation through our HRIS system, including I-9 forms, ensuring accuracy and timely completion and a positive employee experience. Assist with global record keeping and contracts as needed.
  • Collaborating with our Learning and Development and Talent Acquisition teams for seamless onboarding experiences, advising and executing on projects as applicable.
  • Coordinating with Legal on employee visa needs. Responding to an employee PTO request question whether based in the U.S., South Africa, Europe or other country in which our Verrans are located.

Specific functions you will be responsible for leading… 

  • Records compliance, including employee offer letters, global contracts, and other agreements for all new hires in conjunction with Company policy and our U.S. HRIS and global PEO/EOR service.
  • Applying functional and technical knowledge to develop and provide end-users with general guidance and informal training as needed.
  • Processing/initiating U.S. new hire documentation, including I-9 forms, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Working with appropriate parties within HR (including Talent, Benefits and L&D), IT, Finance (Payroll) and other relevant departments to help deliver robust and well-supported data integrations between relevant systems.
  • Overseeing employee-facing content within the Verra Intranet and/or SharePoint/Teams drive for employees to access important employee information.
  • Visa coordination with immigration attorneys and maintaining updated documentation for all employees with visas.
  • Ensuring the highest level of accuracy for data entered into the HRIS and HR data systems to ensure data integrity and consistent employee experience.
  • Researching state employment law that apply to documentation policies, notifications, and retention records.
  • Handling requests for employment verifications and unemployment claims.
  • Developing company-wide communication tools to inform employees and managers of compliance notices.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of employment law by state/country region and advise the HR team and others of new updates pertaining to employee records.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement system enhancements, integrations, and configurations (ATS, HRIS, external vendors, etc.).
  • Auditing data entry in HRIS on a regular basis to review data accuracy and compliance.
  • Acting as the initial escalation point for required data corrections in all HR databases; escalates further if necessary and executes approved corrections.
  • Providing HRIS system support for HR, employee system users, and members of senior management.
  • Planning and implementing recordkeeping processes for permanent personnel records.
  • Preparing employee metric reports/presentations as requested for monthly, quarterly, and annual senior leadership meetings.
  • Creating standard or ad-hoc reports from HR data systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting guidelines.
  • Participating in the creation of new queries and reports as needed.
  • Adhering to organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values, policies, and standards.
  • Assisting with creating internal training tools and process manuals for staff to maximize effective use of the HRIS system.

You bring with you…

  • 3+ years’ experience managing and analyzing records data and creating reports.
  • 3+ years’ experience in dedicated Human Resources role with experience of HRIS systems; global HR compliance.
  • Expertise with HR compliance areas in multiple U.S. states, bonus points for experience supporting non-U.S. countries.
  • Strong discretion in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred but not required.
  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS systems and global HR compliance obligations.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • High proficiency with SharePoint, Google Drive, and similar programs.
  • Expertly skilled in data/records management and technology solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience successfully collaborating professionally and diplomatically with diverse stakeholders.

  • Employee and manager facing intranet consistently provides engaging and credible HR content for employees, resulting in high employee satisfaction on knowing where and how to obtain HR process and policy content quickly from onboarding to offboarding.

Compensation at Verra

To help us attract and retain top talent, Verra pays employees competitively to the market. In return, we expect each employee to, at a minimum:

  • Embody Verra’s values.

For this position, the salary range is between $68,000 – $80,000 USD. The compensation band is based on a U.S. base salary range and shares the min and max base salary for the position. This position is eligible for remote work.  

The final compensation offered will be contingent upon role, level and location. Our Talent team can share the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

We will recognize employees who go beyond expected performance with salary increases and/or promotions, but the bar for earning those rewards is high.

Salary is one component of Verra’s total compensation package which also includes:
