purpose

To provide a professional and integrated human resource service to FNB Lesotho. Ensure that Human Resources provides excellent client services through the implementation of the HR strategy and the continuous improvement plan. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, FNB seeks the expertise of an exceptional leader who will be responsible for driving excellence and innovation to create value for all stakeholders by demonstrating world class Human Capital practice standards. The incumbent will be a member of the business EXCO Team and will partner with the CEO, Segment Heads / Business Units in driving and implementing HR strategies and organization design across the entire business.

experience and qualifications

  • Minimum Qualification : Post Graduate in a relevant Business related Degree or equivalent
  • Experience : Over 10 years’ experience within human resources field with 5 years at Senior Management level
  • Solid business acumen and understanding of business strategy
  • An in-depth knowledge of labour legislation and its implications in the workplace
  • A member of a global HR recognised body

responsibilities

  • Be a trusted advisor to the CEO, Exco and employees
  • Driving high performance work culture through championing outcome driven management
  • Contributing to and driving initiatives aimed at the growth of an employee-oriented workplace that meet the needs of employees for meaningful work, growth, challenge, communication and effective leadership etc
  • Becoming a strategic partner to the business that acts as an employee sponsor and change mentor
  • Defining and developing an organisational culture that enables the Organisation to succeed in its service to its clients
  • Developing and implementing human resources and people development strategies, objectives and processes
  • Providing direction and guidance to management and the Human Capital Department to ensure the implementation and maintenance of sound Human Capital policies and practices
  • Influencing Executive and Senior Management of the ongoing need for Organisational productivity efficiencies and drive it throughout the Organisation
  • Promoting a positive Employee relations culture within the business and minimize risk of industrial action by advising, guiding and supporting both employees and the Organisation by interpreting company policies and procedures on employee life cycle
  • Developing and implementing human resources planning, talent acquisition, succession planning and performance management strategies
  • Consolidating all Human Capital functions across the Organisation having a number of Human Capital Partners reporting into them from the various Segments
  • Forming partnerships with business Unit Heads by implementing and providing a professional Human Capital service to the business, in line with policy and legislation in Botswana.
  • Providing guidance and direction to management on compensation and benefits
  • Researching and suggesting strategies for increasing employee commitment to the Organisation
