Conservation South Africa currently has a vacancy for a Human Resources administrative assistant to support the HR Manager working in South Africa. This is a 12 month contract position with renewal dependent on funding availability and performance.

In order to support the Human Resources Manager working out of the CSA offices, the incumbent will be required to carry out the following tasks:
The HR Administrator reports to the HR Manager, and plays a crucial role in the support and coordination of Landscape and Head Office teams.
The position will provide administrative support to the field programmes and operations division in terms of the administration of: Employee timekeeping; Payroll, leave and human resources.
Administer the full payroll function
Administer the Business World HR information system, monitor the completion of employee timekeeping, leave and overtime records
Complete the required HR reporting –SARS, WSP, COIDA, Employment Equity Administration of Human Resources function
Assist in recruitment of new staff
Compiling employment documentation for new hires
Filing and capturing of employee information both hard copy and digital           
Loading employees in the HRIS system
Preparation of statutory payroll reports
Ensuring that time recording takes place accurately by each employee
Liaising with candidates as required by HR Manager, assist with new employee’s security screening
Sending out new employee pack to new employees and creating employee files
Setting up Induction schedule for new staff
Assist in training of staff on HR and Operational policies and procedures  General operational HR support as requested
 Essential minimum requirements for successful application:
Grade 12 preferably with post matric training in human resources and payroll administration
Relevant tertiary education – HR Management, Labour Relations or similar qualification
Minimum 5 years relevant working experience;
Three contactable references
Experience in VIP Payroll, MS Office programmes including spreadsheet knowledge;
Good administrative and interpersonal skills;
Ability to handle pressure and dynamic to change;
Valid driver’s license.
