Position: Human Resources & Administration Manager

Job Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing the HR and administrative operations of an organization. To ensure that all processes are efficient and effective, and that the organization runs smoothly. To support current and future needs of the organization and ensure that HR and administrative functions are integrated with other business operations. To develop and implement strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Recruitment and Talent Management
  2. Develop and ensure proper implementation of recruitment and talent management policies, procedures and processes;
  3. Develop and implement Naledi Funeral Planners (NFP) human resource requirements plan to ensure proper, adequate and timely staffing levels;
  4. Manage all the financial and administrative logistics pertaining to NFP recruitment and talent management processes.
  5. Manage transactions related to the complete cycle of an employee.
  • Remuneration and Benefits Management
  • Develop and ensure proper staff benefits administration programs, policies, procedures and systems;
  • Manage and monitor effective implementation and use of Human Resource Information Management Systems (HRIMS) and maintain accurate and up to date HR records;
  • Labour Relations Management
  • Conduct research, develop and implement staff motivation and wellness programms in order to continuosly improve staff morale within NFP;
  • Develop and ensure proper implementation of recruitment and talent management plans, policies, procedures and processes;
  • Manage and monitor effective implementation of the Disciplinary and Grievance Procedure in accordance with existing Labour Laws;
  • To provide advice and support to Management on all employment and labour relations matters.
  • Identify and spearhead projects that will drive diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • D. Staff Performance Management, Development and Capacity building
  • Develop and ensure proper planning and implementation of staff performance management plans, policies, procedures and processes;
  • Plan and direct employee development and training programms to enhance staff capacity and capability;
  • Prepare all administrative and financial logistics pertaining to training and development initiatives.
  • Administration functions
  • Overseeing the day-to-day administrative function for the organization, including office supplies, facilities and equipment.
  • Developing and implementing administrative policies and procedures that support the goals of theorganization.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and laws.
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure that administrative functions are integrated with other business operations.
  • Managing budgets and expenses related to administrative functions.
  • Overseeing special projects and tracking progress towards company goals.
  • Conduct HR transactions including orientation, leaves of absence and exit meetings etc…

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Qualifications and Knowledge 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Industrial relations, Management or related field.
  2. Post graduate qualification to the above categories will be an added advantage;
  3. In-depth of Lesotho labour law and HR best practices.

Work Experience

  1. 5 years HR experience with at least 3 years’ experience in a management position;
  2. Vast experience in organizing, coordinating and team leadership.
  3. Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  4. Experience working in an organization with staff in various duty stations across the country.
