Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Human Resource and Administration Manager; the Human Resource Officer is responsible for providing assistance to the Human Resources functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Human Resources Officer is responsible for:
- Maintain awareness of and compliance with the Foundation’s Human Resources Policies and procedures as well as local labor laws.
- Assisting the Human Resource and Administration Manager in recruitment, selection and on boarding activities.
- Maintain the Foundation employee record keeping and confidentiality.
- Assisting in performance, conduct and behavior management.
- Management of personnel data.
- Assisting in the compensation and employee benefit management.
- Assisting in training and development of staff.
- Maintaining employee motivation and morale building activities.
- Managing the staff leave data base.
- Communicating any changes on Policies and Procedures to staff.
- Monitoring ensuring that the Foundation Safety and Security Policies and Procedures are adhered to.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Human Resources or Public Administration
- An experience and knowledge of USAID and CDC rules and procedures will be added advantage
- Must have at least 3 years work experience in the field of Human Resources in NGOs
- Extensive experience and knowledge of labor law issues will be added advantage
- Good interpersonal and analytical skills
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skill
