Agisanang Domestic Abuse Prevention and Training (ADAPT) is a section 21 non-profit organisation that started operating as a small entity in 1994 focusing on providing counselling and support for abused women. Although the initial emphasis was on women, the beneficiaries of services have expanded to include children, young people, the elderly and men.
ADAPT seeks to appoint a Human Resource Officer to be based in Alexandra Township, Johannesburg.
Responsibilities:
Manage the entire administration section
Keep the employees’ record up to date
Ensure that all staff members are up to date on and understand the policies and procedures of the organisation
In conjunction with the Director, handle complaints from the general public regarding the services rendered by the organisation
In conjunction with the Director and the Secretary of the organisation, organise staff meetings and ensure that minutes are taken and made available to all staff members on time and that copies of such minutes are kept in the relevant files
Ensure that record of monthly reports, office documents etc. are kept up to date
Requirements:
One to two years’ experience
Diploma in Human Resource
Experience in Human Resource
Computer literacy with strong Microsoft Office experience
Background in NGO sector
