About the role

We are looking for a HR Business Partner to support our RBM operations. You will support the achievement of business objectives by translating business needs and context into a human resources strategy for this site and ensuring its effective execution.

Reporting to the General Manager: HR, you will:

  • Developing human resource strategy and supporting growth programs to build team and organizational effectiveness based on business strategies, objectives, and content

  • Supporting and influencing leadership to define, build, and maintain employee engagement

  • Proactively identifying threats and opportunities to business objectives through data, conversations and observations; and diagnosing root causes to determine the required intervention

  • Engaging with leaders to position the need for change in relation to business objectives, and providing support to deliver, manage, and sustain the change

  • Collaborating with Areas of Expertise, Global Business Services, and other internal service providers to inform the design of HR solutions, processes, programs, tools, and systems

  • Providing training to employees on-site.


    About you



    To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Degree in Human Resources or similar

  • 3-5 years Generalist HR experience, preferably in a unionised environment

  • EB License

Owned by Rio Tinto and located in the KwaZulu Natal province, Richards Bay Minerals (RBM) is an internationally recognized sand mining and mineral processing operations leader and is one of the world’s foremost producers of titanium minerals, high purity pig iron and zircon.
