JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide a customer based/stakeholder service function to effectively and efficiently ensure implementation
and adherence to HR policies and procedures according to the Basic Conditions of Employment Act
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Co-ordinate and administer relevant HR processes concerning recruitment and employee benefits
Handle and manage relevant employee and management queries with regards to HR
Manage information confidentiality
Provide administrative support to HR
Responsible for answering telephones
Responsible for capturing and retrieving information on internal systems as required
Responsible for compiling listings of applications for vacancies
Responsible for conducting filing
Responsible for ensuring document control and assurance
Responsible for handling queries and direct to appropriate person according to query relevancy
Responsible for initiating and managing the retirement process
Responsible for interview preparations
Responsible for managing good relationships with all external and internal stakeholders
Responsible for organising and co-ordinating meetings, travel and accommodation arrangements if and when required
Responsible for preparing and managing correspondence and documentation
Responsible for providing internal and external customers with accurate information
Responsible for reporting HR system queries to the HR Administrator
Responsible for the administration of benefits
Responsible for the completion of medical applications
Responsible for the completion of standard documentation as specified for input or circulation
Responsible for the preparation and completion of exit processes and documentation, including death claims, incapacity,
retirement, resignation, dismissals and retrenchments
Responsible for the smooth functioning of the office
Responsible to administer and control conditions of employment according to employee movement
Responsible to keep paperwork up to date, for example new employee contracts
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12
Higher Certificate HR Management (NQF 5)
Minimum 3 years’ experience applicable to HR business processes (Recruitment and Selection and / or HR Benefits, and
general HR Administration)
Valid Driver’s Licence
Computer Literacy & Microsoft Office Suite
ADVANTAGEOUS:
Experience as a HR Officer
Knowledge of Sage VIP Payroll System (Specify on CV and attach supporting documents if applicable)
Knowledge of Sage ESS System (Specify on CV and attach supporting documents if applicable)
OTHER SKILLS / COMPETENCIES:
Good communication skills in English (written & verbal)
Attention to detail and accuracy; Planning; Problem solving; Professionalism, Reliability
