Hand in Hand Southern Africa (HiHSA) is an NGO with a vision of reducing poverty through job creation. Hand in Hand is seeking experienced and qualified candidates to apply for Provincial Coordinator Post. The main purpose of the job is to provide strategic development, oversight, program coordination, and overall management of the provincial-level implementation of the youth-run community program in order to ensure the delivery of outputs

Hand in hand Development seeks to appoint HR Officer to be based in Gauteng.

The person will be responsible for all HR administration functions in support of all members of Staff. This role is an important support function to the HR Manager.

Responsibilities Includes:
Recruitment:
Advertise for vacant positions
Screen the CVs
Short list candidates for the interviews
Prepare the interview schedule
Conduct the interviews
Conduct reference checks for the successful candidates
Draft offer letter and contract for the successful candidate
Send regret letters to unsuccessful candidates
Ensure that all the new employees are inducted
Employee relations support:
Assist in facilitating the disciplinary hearings
Assist in handling grievance and resolving them
Assist in facilitating discussion between DOL, CCMA and employees
Stay abreast of regulatory developments and codes of good practice, including but not limited to the Labour Relations Act (LRA),
Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and Protection of Personal Information (POPI) Act.
Payroll Administration:
Capture all the new employees in the payroll system on a monthly basis
Remove all the terminations in the payroll on a monthly basis
Process payroll on a monthly basis
Send payslips to all the employees
File PAYE,SDL and UIF on a monthly basis
HR Administration:
Ensure that all the HR and employee documents are filed properly
Update employee files on a regular basis
Update employee contract database on a monthly basis
General correspondence
General staff queries and assistance
Qualifications & Skills:
National Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or Organization Development.
At least 2 year in Human Resources- generalist experience, preferably in the NGO Sector.
Knowledgeable about employee relations to ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
Knowledge in Sage 300
Advanced Computer skills- MS Outlook, MS Word and Excel.
Excellent Communication (Verbal and written) skills.
Excellent HR administration and documentation.
Ability to plan and organise HR events.
Presentation and interviewing skills.
Ability to analyse and interpret HR policies.
Shown ability to manage work and self proactively.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
