mothers2mothers (m2m) is an Africa-based NGO that unlocks the potential of women to eliminate paediatric AIDS and create healthy families across eight sub-Saharan African countries. m2m trains, employs, and helps empower HIV-positive women to work as community healthcare workers in understaffed health centres and underserved communities.

Through a peer-to-peer approach, these ‘Mentor Mothers’ deliver a range of health services, advice, and support to women and their families. Started in Cape Town, South Africa in 2001 with an initial focus on preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV, m2m has innovated and built on its strengths and now provides family-centred support for a range of related health and social issues spanning pregnancy, birth, childhood, and adolescence. It also partners with governments and other NGOs on the adoption of its programme to spread the Mentor Mother Model and its benefits.

Job Description

Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Team in terms of performance management and general HR Administrative functions
•    Support the recruitment and selection process at the Head office and country programme level
•    Work in collaboration with  the Employee Relations function at Head Office 
•    Coordinate ad hoc HR projects as requested
•    Work closely with the HR officer in providing Lesotho management team with general HR assistance and support 
•    Provide clerical and administrative support to the Hr officer for competency based recruitment processes
•    Support the HR officer with logistical and administrative preparation for on boarding of new employees and orientation workshops.  
•    Assist  HR officer to with tracking  and uploading of the performance management reports for completeness of performance management process
•    Work closely with the HR officer to ensure effective implementation of all training programs as identified by HO, HR officer and the Program team. 
•    Support HR officer with effective implementation of  employee benefits, terms and conditions of employment 
•    Work closely with the HR Office to implement the m2m HR strategy
•    Support the HR officer with HR administrative functions including the ESS leave management system and process and capture all employee details on the HR Management system as delegated by HR officer. 
•    Accountable to the HR officer for the  HR filing system
•    Work closely with the HR officer to ensure implementation of wellnessJob Requirements

Qualifications and Experience: 
•     A diploma in Human Resource, Administration or a relevant degree with at least 1 year experience in an NGO 

Competencies:
•    Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential matters in a professional and ethical manner
•    Good understanding of the Lesotho Labour laws and general HR ethics and standards
•    Good understanding of human resources & administrative skills (fair understanding of payroll and other employee benefits, leave administration, etc.)
•    Well-developed presentation, facilitation , written and verbal communication skills
•    Planning and organising Ability to work independently
•    Ability to take initiative  
•    A passion for the m2m values , Vision and Mission

•    Fluency in English  and Sesotho
