HPCA seeks to appoint a Chief Executive Officer to be based in Cape Town.
The CEO will provide oversight of the strategic development and management of the Hospice Palliative Care Association (HPCA) and promote the strategic positioning of members as centres of excellence in palliative care within the South African health care system.

Requirements:
- Masters’ in Public Health or Medical related field or Masters’ in Business Administration (MBA)
- Seven to 10 years of experience as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or in Business Management
- Proven track record of managing complex budgets
- Demonstrated experience of managing a large and diverse team
- Demonstrated experience in grants management and programme development
- Evidence of designing, managing and implementing complex, programmes involving multiple stakeholders/implementing partners
- Demonstrated skills in strategic planning, including the ability to analyse complex data and translate programmatic learning into operational strategies
- Demonstrated ability to establish and sustain professional relationships and to work collaboratively with potential local and international funders/donors and SAG and partner organisations
- Writing, communication and interpersonal skills
- An added advantage would be previous hospice and palliative care working experience and a palliative care qualification
