HOUSEKEEPERS
Afriski Mountain Resort invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Housekeeper at its site at Mahlasela Pass.
Job Responsibilities
You will:
• Clean guest rooms, bathrooms, entrance areas, and related spaces to a high standard
• Organize and implement work schedules based on room status lists, arrivals, and departures
• Sort, distribute, and place linen, towels, soap, and coffee consumables in guest rooms
• Respond promptly to guest queries and requests
• Maintain safety, security, and professional conduct at all times
• Report any suspicious behaviour (e.g. attempted theft, horseplay) to the Safety/Security Division or Maintenance
• Perform room inspections and inventory checks
• Manage lost and found guest items
• Perform laundry duties
Requirements
• Physically fit, agile, and mobile
• Ability to communicate politely and clearly with customers in English
• Ability to listen, understand, and carry out work instructions correctly and on time
• Respect and follow the organisational reporting structure
• Strong attention to detail in all aspects of domestic work
• Ability to learn and follow instructions when using cleaning materials, chemicals, equipment, and machinery, including carpet cleaners, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, tumble dryers, industrial irons, and presses
• Willing and able to live at the resort in shared accommodation and work in harsh weather conditions
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines; willingness to work overtime when required
• Ability to maintain company and client confidentiality, safety, and security
• Proactive in reporting and fixing potential problems before they occur
• Honest, reliable, conscientious, responsible, disciplined, and able to maintain high team morale
• Demonstrated steadfast dedication to duties and resilience under pressure
