Responsibilities and Duties
- Abstract data from referral forms, history and physical documentation and discharge summaries for coding accuracy
- Performs Oasis Review and makes recommendations to assure compliance
Qualifications and Skills
- Current coding credential from AAPC, AHIMA, AHCC or Fazzi
- 6 months of coding experience (Home Health coding preferred)
- OASIS Certification (COS-C or HCS-O) preferred
- Comfortable with computer usage such as email and online applications
- Able to work independently and meet strict deadlines
- Professional communication skills
- Excellent organizational ability
