JOB TITLE : HIV and AIDS Manager
JOB PURPOSE
To have established and improved delivery of STI, HIV and AIDS clinical services with the Health Sector.
OBJECTIVES
- To improve access to comprehensive care and support for people living and affected by HIV and AIDS.
- To provide appropriate care, support and treatment of HIV and AIDS infected persons and those affected by TB, STIs, HIV & AIDS and other opportunistic infections.
- To reduce the incidence of occupational exposure to HIV and other infectious microbes and sexually transmitted infections.
KEY PERFORMANCE OUTPUTS
- Developed STI, HIV & AIDS clinical policies, guidelines and training manuals.
- Coordinated STI, HIV & AIDS clinical services.
- Developed operational divisional work plan.
- Coordinated drug procurement and management system.
- Coordinated capacity building of health workers on STI, HIV & AIDS.
- Monitored and Evaluated STI and HIV clinical services.

COMPETENCES
Knowledge
- Postgraduate Degree on Social Sciences and/or Health Sciences and/or Public Health. 5 to 10 years working experience within the HIV & AIDS field. 3 to 5 years working experience in Public Health only after completing the postgraduate degree in Social Sciences or Public Health.

Duration and Remuneration:
This position is performance based and is for (1) year period, with a possibility of an extension based on performance and availability of funding.
The salary for this position is market related, but will also be commensurate with requisite qualifications and experience.
