What is TechCon Lesotho 2019?
A technology conference organized by Lesotho’s own organizations and companies BasaliTech, Technify, Selibeng and Donny’s Fresh and Dried Fruits which aims to bring people and technology together.
The theme for 2019 which is developing skills for the future addresses the current technology landscape of Lesotho, the 4th industrial revolution, where we are and how we fit in. Subject matter experts on topics such as drones, robotics, internet of things, 5G networks, big data and machine learning among many more will give informative and educational presentations while a technology expo runs throughout the event where Basotho will showcase their tech innovations https://basalitech.org/TechCon
Who is TechCon for?
The TechCon is for everyone, both males and females from all backgrounds and occupations, technology enthusiasts, the curious minds who want to learn see beyond the normal and where we can be. Technology affects us all. But mostly Form E students are encouraged to attend as we unpack the diversity that currently exists in the Tech space to open a world of opportunities. It is for tech innovators, investors and employers.

Manthabiseng Convention Centre, Maseru Lesotho September 26th – 27th (Thursday to Friday).
What is the aim of TechCon 2019?
Apart from bringing people closer to the endless possibilities that can be brought about by technology above what we see every day, it is also to raise funds to improve the technology landscape in :Lesotho through the BasaliTech organization which aims to bridge the gender gap in science, technology, engineering and mathematics through training (GirlsWhoCode Lesotho) and mentorship of young girls, introduce children to technology at a young age (Tech Kids Sessions) and to improve STEM education through the mobile lab initiative. https://basalitech.org/initiatives.html

One of the most important aspects of a conference: the sessions, deep dives, and presentations.
