VACANCY: HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER
Botanical Bliss Pty Ltd, trading as Organo Pharma, is inviting suitably qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the position of Health & Safety Officer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment within our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and monitor workplace health and safety procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and workplace safety inspections.
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure employees follow health and safety policies, PPE requirements and safe working procedures.
- Conduct staff training and safety awareness sessions.
- Maintain health and safety records, incident reports and inspection registers.
- Investigate workplace incidents and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
- Support emergency preparedness, fire safety and evacuation procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant occupational health and safety requirements.
- Work closely with management to continuously improve safety standards within the factory.
Requirements
- Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and risk management.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to conduct inspections and maintain accurate records.
- Computer literacy will be an advantage.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment will be an added advantage.
- Must be responsible, observant, organised and able to work well with a team.
