POSITION: Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator
JOB DESCRIPTION/ PURPOSE
To provide leadership in the development and implementation of the overall HSE strategy of TCL through continuous implementation of flexible and high level HSE solutions to ensure health & safety of employees and minimising the environmental liabilities. Working closely with management, client, contractors and other stakeholders, the incumbent will regularly ensure that all HSE standards are adhered to, and proactively respond to any perceived risks or HSE non-compliances.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 5 – 10 years’ experience in the mining environment in similar capacity.
- Degree in occupational health and safety/ environmental science or equivalent.
- Registered with relevant regulatory body.
- Advanced knowledge of legal, governance and compliance legislation in mining sector.
- HSE designs and applications.
- Fully conversant with international HSE standards, codes and industry best practice.
