Health Practitioner ( HRL 15U )
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible for development and implementation of an integrated, sustainable and cost effective health program for Lomati Mill
REPORTING TO
The Human Resources Manager
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a professional occupational health and primary health care service in the operation, within a legal, ethical framework, to ensure a healthy, productive workforce
- Provide professional advice to line management with regard to health
- Assist with the development and implementation of health policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with all relevant legal requirements
- Build and maintain conducive relationships with all stakeholders
- Ensure accurate and timeous reporting of occupational health issues
- Manage the operational health clinic budget
- Ensure appropriate staff deployment, in accordance with the risks to which employees may be exposed, and the inherent requirements of the positions to which they are assigned

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- General Nursing Diploma / Degree
- Certificate / Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing
- Certificate in Spirometry, Audiometry and Dispensing
- Certificate in Physical (Evaluation) Assessment / Primary Health Nursing
- Current Registration with the South African Nursing Council
- Current registration with the South African Society for Occupational Health Nurses
- Code B Driver’s License
- Computer Literacy (MS Office)
- At least 3 years’ experience in an Occupational Health environment
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- TB Course, STI Course and HIV / AIDS Management
