Tsebo Site Solutions is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health and Safety Officer with expertise in Food Safety, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and ISO standards. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations while fostering a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence
- Ensure compliance with the OHS Act and all statutory requirements.
- Review and maintain policies and procedures to meet legal obligations.
- Approve corrective measures for health and safety concerns.
HACCP and Food Safety Management
- Implement and maintain SHEQ systems in line with legislation and international standards:
- ISO 22000:2018 – Food Safety Management
- ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health and Safety
- ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management
- ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management
- HACCP – Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points
- Ensure food safety standards through effective HACCP application.
- Collect food samples per QA documentation requirements.
- Monitor cleanliness and hygiene in all food handling areas.
- Support internal and external audits for ISO and HACCP compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement within the SHEQ framework.
Inspections and Investigations
- Conduct inspections, audits, and investigations to identify improvements.
- Ensure adherence to company hygiene standards.
Health and Safety Promotion
- Execute procedures to promote health and safety awareness.
- Maintain continuous awareness of safety-affecting situations.
Administrative and Reporting
- Process administrative information and reporting requirements.
- Maintain orderly filing systems (QPro).
- Ensure deadlines are met.
Emergency Response and Incident Management
- Develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Coordinate first aid and medical response in emergencies.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure proper incident reporting per legal requirements.

Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
- Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety
- SAMTRAC or recognized Health & Safety certification
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Health and Safety role
- Proven experience managing a SHE system
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSH Act, policies, and procedures
