HS Construction Company (Pty) Ltd is a multi-disciplinary construction company incorporated in Lesotho in 2010. The company offers construction and project management services in the areas of Building, Roads, water supply, sanitation, infrastructure, construction management and other civil engineering related disciplines.
Therefore, we are looking for suitable candidates to be part of our Team:
HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER
Responsibilities
- Create and monitor health and safety policies and procedures to meet legal requirements.
- Identify potential workplace risks and occupational hazards and develop mitigation plans.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
- Prepare health and safety reports, incident investigations, and training programs.
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.
- Facilitate employee health and safety training sessions.
- Promote awareness of safety culture within the company.
- Maintain safety documentation and ensure all employees understand their roles.
- Assist in emergency preparedness and response planning.
Requirements
- Should have a qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or any relevant qualification.
- SAMTRAC Certificate or NOSA/NQA Certificate.
- Registered Health and Safety Practitioner or Safety competency.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Should have knowledge of national and international environmental and Health & Safety legislation.
- Should be registered with Department of Labour as a Health and Safety Practitioner.
