ABOUT SIXTY15 JOINT VENTURE
Sixty15 Joint Venture (Sixty15 JV), under Contract LHDA 6015A, comprises three companies: Motjetepa Investments T/A Eagle Construction, Afro-Asia Engineering, and Geo Construction.
Sixty15 JV seeks to employ Basotho nationals with the appropriate skills and experience to fill the position below.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
- A degree will be an added advantage.
- SAMTRAC/NEBOSH Certificate will be an added advantage.
- Registration with the Ministry of Labour and Employment as a Health and Safety Practitioner is mandatory.
MINIMUM CONSTRUCTION WORK EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in occupational health and safety.
- Three (3) of those years must be in a managerial role within the construction industry.
SUMMARY OF ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement health and safety management systems.
- Conduct risk assessments.
- Manage incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with operations, facilities, subcontractors, and external regulators.
- Set and monitor key performance indicators and conduct audits to measure compliance, identify improvements, and produce regular management reports.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance.
- Deliver and coordinate health and safety training, toolbox talks, and inductions for staff and contractors on safety practices.
- Provide specialist advice on occupational health, ergonomics, and safe working practices to operational managers.
- Oversee contractor safety management and permit-to-work systems to ensure safe delivery of contracted activities.
- Lead emergency preparedness and business continuity planning, including drills and multi-agency liaison where required.
- Manage the maintenance of statutory records, risk registers, and documentation for inspections and audits.
