Job Purpose
To drive Private Banking sales and service strategy, advice and support on Client Value Proposition (CVP) and drive Whole View Private Banking TM.
Job Responsibilities
- Achieve goals and targets set for function including: revenue, RORAC, Cost to Income and Impairments targets.
- Monitor, ensure implementation and execution of sales strategy.
- Analyse, achieve and manage targets against forecasted results.
- Conduct market research & keep abreast of competitor activities.
- Benchmark industry best practices and application of customer value propositions.
- Provide sales intelligence and solutions.
- Conduct peer group benchmarking and legislative research.
- Provide continuous sales leadership & management of sales teams.
- Provide credible sales advice and solutions.
- Produce reports to key business committees.
- Integrate organisational structures, implement & execute a competitive business vision, strategy and operational business plan.
- Manage business efficiency and cost.
- Deliver client service & ensure that client expectations are understood and met.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Ensure client engagements and knowledge sharing.
- Identify & deliver on internal stakeholder’s information needs.
- Collaborate & build synergy across business functions.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
- Share informal and formal knowledge and provide feedback to all internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships between Channel, Segment, Group clusters and product houses.
- Ensure Nedbank values are evident in all in sales and service relationships.
- Monitor achievement of function goals and take corrective action.
- Track service levels and request feedback from stakeholders.
- Manage business and client interests.
- Review & improve division sales policies and procedures.
- Manage risk & provide input to policy and procedure formulation, issuing guidelines, participating in interpretation of legislation.
- Improve processes and skills and research best practices and industry trends.
- Ensure that systems and processes are adopted and implement to manage and monitor credit, operational and regulatory risks.
- Collect & assess relevant sales risks and compliance data.
- Ensure alignment & achievement of strategy & create competitive advantage.
- Translate strategy into a customised Divisional strategy.
- Align people strategy to Nedbank’s vision & values.
- Build a high performance team.
- Ensure that the leadership agenda is embraced & that relevant strategies & plans have been communicated & implemented.

Preferred Qualification
B Comm Honours Degree
Minimum Experience Level
Minimum 5 years experience at a management level
Minimum of 5 years experience in the financial industry
