The Service Support manages the efficient cooperation between different service functions and activities which includes workshops, service branches, hygiene plants, spare part handling, and sales channel support and project execution. S/he reports to the Country Service Representative and will assist in After Sales strategy activities, portfolio development and budgeting/forecasting responsibilities in the Service BA. S/he will be responsible for maintaining WIP levels in line with company governance and expectations. The position furthermore entails the overall management and administration of Maintenance contracts in all segments of the Service BA. The Head of Service Support will also engage with his/her counterparts globally and identify, align and implement best practices and processes in his/her area of responsibility. S/he will analyze and highlight trends which influences the profitability of the Service BA.
- Analyze, identify, align and implement best administration practices and processes
- Develop Strategy plan/s & execute for development in area of responsibility
- Training and development of service administration staff
- Bi-Annual Performance Appraisals of direct reporters.
- Assist Branch Admin Controllers with Performance Appraisals and Staff Development Plan.
- Shared responsibility to ensure that efficient and standard administration processes are implemented
- Service Administration Audits, action improvement opportunities and monitoring
- Managing GEA Service Maintenance Contracts
- Compile Financial Reports as requested by EXCO
- Liaise with Global Service Organisation to align Best Practices within the Service Division Internationally
Continuously analyze and develop efficient processes within the Service Division Financial Control, such as:
- Assisting Head of Service, Service Branch Managers with Compiling of annual Budgets & Forecasts (Capex, Turnover, Margins & Overheads)
- Monitoring and controlling of overhead expenditure, profit margins and N/A Labour.
- Assist in ensuring that budgeted turnover targets are achieved and exceeded in all regions
- Manage margins and provisions reports on a monthly basis nationally
- Calculating KPI’s and comparisons as and when needed related to Service Business activities
- Controlling and administration of Service vehicle fleet including FML contracts
- Approving of high value PO up to R250 000.00
- Authorization of Service credit notes.
- HSE implementation & enforcement
- Candidate are likely to have earned a Certificate or Diploma in Business Management and an Accounting Diploma.
- The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a minimum work experience of 5 years of staff management within our Industry or also within a Service Industry.
- Correspondingly, the candidate must prove their understanding of the businesses of GEA.
- S/he must have a strong commercial and financial acumen as well as knowledge of the location/region market.
- Profound experience in Service Industry organizations
