Our client is seeking a highly skilled production pharmacist with GMP experience to manage the facility that produces medicinal cannabis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pharmaceuticals and experience working in a state-of-the-art EU GMP facility.
As a Production Pharmacist, you will be responsible for managing the production process from drying through to extraction and packing. You will ensure adherence to SOPs and regulations, schedule and plan production, and organise teams and resources to achieve goals. In addition, you will act as a deputy RP, train and mentor staff, and work with QA, RP, and management to achieve production targets. You must possess high emotional intelligence.
The production pharmacist will be working in a multicultural team and will be responsible for mentoring and guiding younger members of the team. The candidate must be able to demonstrate empathy, active listening, and possess strong communication skills to build relationships with team members and management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for hosting regulatory audits, responding to and acting on any findings, assisting with upgrades and equipment validation, lot release, documentation audits, creation of SOPs, and maintaining QMS systems. You will also provide reports to management and attend regular meetings.
The facility is located in rural Lesotho, away from major centres. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic staff community, and suitable housing is available close by. The candidate must be comfortable with being located for weeks at a time in a rural setting.

- Registered Pharmacist
- GMP production experience
- Experience managing a team
- Ability to schedule and plan production
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a rural setting for extended periods
