Head of Employee Benefits and Partnerships
Job Purpose
To provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Employee Benefits and Partnerships function. The role is responsible for growing and managing Pension Fund business, Group Risk Solutions, and Partnerships. It drives new business development, strengthens stakeholder relationships, and ensures sustainable profitability of the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction to the Employee Benefits and Partnerships function.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Employee Benefits and Partnerships team.
- Lead new business acquisition.
- Develop and manage high-value partnerships.
- Grow departmental revenues and ensure portfolio profitability.
- Oversee client relationship management and retention.
- Ensure efficient administration and service excellence.
- Provide technical oversight over contributions, reconciliations, and investments.
- Support product innovation and market positioning.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
- Manage re-insurance and risk.
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification at Master’s level or equivalent (essential).
- Professional training in Retirement Funds administration, Employee Benefits, Investments Management & related fields.
- Insurance-related qualification (AIISA, FIISA) is an added advantage.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Employee Benefits and Group Risk environment.
- At least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Strong knowledge of Bancassurance and Employee Benefits products.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Proven success in corporate sales and partnership management.
- Demonstrable leadership qualities.
