About the Position
Providere Academy, incorporating Annabelle Pre-School, is seeking a qualified and experienced Head of Department for the 2027 academic year.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading curriculum planning, mentoring teachers, monitoring learner progress, and promoting academic excellence. The role requires strong instructional leadership, effective assessment practices, and a commitment to child safeguarding and continuous professional development.
Minimum Requirements
- A recognised degree in Education or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- At least five years of teaching experience.
- Previous departmental leadership or coordination experience will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the Cambridge Primary Curriculum is essential, or must be demonstrated through relevant training and experience.
- Strong curriculum planning, assessment, and instructional leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to mentor teachers, monitor learner progress, and promote academic excellence.
- Strong classroom management skills and professional conduct.
- Commitment to child safeguarding and continuous professional development.
