Head of Cultivation
Location: Lesotho
Reports To: General Manager
Position Overview:
The Head of Cultivation will be responsible for leading all cultivation operations within a hybrid cannabis facility (indoor and greenhouse). This role oversees plant production, environmental controls, team management, compliance, and continuous process optimisation to ensure high-quality, consistent yields aligned with regulatory and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all cultivation activities across indoor and greenhouse environments
- Develop and implement cultivation strategies to maximize yield, potency, and quality
- Manage environmental controls, irrigation, fertigation, IPM, and nutrient programs
- Lead and develop cultivation teams, including scheduling, training, and performance management
- Ensure compliance under the Control Union guidelines
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, data tracking, and SOP development
- Oversee inventory tracking, crop forecasting, and production planning
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of commercial cultivation experience, with at least 3 in a leadership role
- Experience operating hybrid (indoor + greenhouse) cannabis facilities
- Strong knowledge of environmental systems, fertigation, and IPM programs
- Proven team leadership and operational management skills
- Deep understanding of cannabis regulatory compliance
- Data-driven decision-making and strong organizational abilities
Advantage:
- Background in horticulture, plant science, agronomy, or related field
- Experience with cultivation management software and environmental control systems
