Head of Business Continuity Management Division

The Head of Business Continuity Management Division (BCMD) is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework through facilitating the execution of all processes and infrastructure. The incumbent further ensures the continuance of the business of the Bank during significant disruptions or in time of disaster.
The Candidate will be required to perform the following administrative functions:
• Planning: Oversee the Divisional planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Leadership: Lead and manage a team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to streamline processes.
• Communication and Reporting: Communicate business continuity plans and report on the status of the business continuity program.
The Candidate will be required to perform the following technical functions:
Business Continuity Management Division Strategic Planning: Implement immediate, short term, objectives and plans associated with Business Continuity.
• Policies and Procedures: Implement BCM governance instruments aligning to international standards. Implement Business Continuity Management: Advice and oversee the implementation of the Bank’s Business Continuity Management System.
• Business Impact Analysis: Identify critical business functions and their potential impacts from disruptions and lead the creation and review of documented business area recovery plans to implement appropriate recovery strategies.
• Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct risk assessment to identify potential opportunities and disruptive threats to business continuity and implement mitigation strategies to minimize the impact.

All candidates wishing to apply must have the above stated behavioural competences and any of the following minimum qualifications:
Master’s degree in any of the following: Accounting, Finance, Risk management, Banking, Commerce Auditing, ICT, Business continuity management fields.
or
GA/ACCA/CISA/CIA or equivalent
Work experience:
A minimum of seven (7) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which at managerial level.
