Revenue Services Lesotho was established by an Act of Parliament in 2001 and became operational in 2003. The purpose of its existence is to positively impact Basotho’s livelihoods by investing in people and technology.
The RSL has put in place a three-year strategy for 2024 – 2027 themed “Lesokoana”.

Position
Head Finance (1)
Position Summary / Purpose
Responsible for provision of Finance Department’s strategic direction through effective working capital management, timely sourcing of funds, and generation of cash reserves for the Revenue Services, with the aim to enhance RSL’s financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Set Finance Department strategic direction to ensure integration with organisational strategic planning in collaboration with executive leadership and business partners
- Lead the development and implementation of Finance Departmental plans aligned with the overall organisational strategy
- Develop and control annual operating and capital expenditure budgets for the organisation
- Deliver cost-effective financial services to meet business needs and adapt to changing priorities
- Oversee preparation of financial reports in line with IFRS and Finance Policy
- Liaise with External Auditors and the Auditor General to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Strengthen financial governance frameworks across the organisation
Qualifications & Experience
Option 1:
- Postgraduate qualification in Financial Accounting plus Chartered Accountant (CA) accreditation
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant work experience, with at least 3 years at Senior Management level
OR
Option 2:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Accounting plus Chartered Accountant (CA) accreditation
- Minimum 7 years’ relevant work experience, with at least 5 years at Senior Management level
