Job Overview
Afriski Mountain Resort is looking for a strong Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead the Sky Restaurant kitchen team for the upcoming winter season.
This role is based in a remote, high-altitude ski resort environment where winter conditions can be extreme, operations move fast, and teamwork is essential.
This is a unique opportunity to work in one of Southern Africa’s most iconic mountain destinations.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should:
- Be confident in leading a busy kitchen operation
- Work well under pressure in a remote seasonal environment
- Be passionate about mentoring and upskilling staff
- Lead with a “pull together” mentality rather than a push mentality
- Help create a friendly, respectful, and supportive team atmosphere
- Maintain high standards in food quality, hygiene, consistency, and organisation
